I don’t have the link, but remember reading only 3 people know. Woodward, & 2 people on his staff. One is a lady.

Maybe Woodward was cocky and thought he could snap his fingers and coaches would come crawling. Maybe he thought he had Riley and got slickered by a smarter AD at USC. Either is just as plausible as him sitting on his secret hire while the world burns down around him.
