Schools in the SEC should scout and interview potential replacement coaches every year. When Sexton or any other agent comes in to talk raises at the end of a successful season, you pull out the powerpoint with all the coaches that would coach there for less.

Except its not the end of Ole Miss's season is it? They're all but a lock for the playoff. Historically how its been done is out the window in the new system. They're mad at "how he's doing it" because he's about to derail the best season they've ever had cuz he couldn't wait until the real end to their season whether that be a first round exit or hoisting the trophy.

Except he’s supposedly making his announcement Saturday which is most likely not the end of the season. You can’t have a guy one foot out of the door coaching the playoffs, he’s already proven he’ll frick off in that scenario.

Ole Miss fans are going to take the “how he’s leaving” stance because it becomes a moral issue vs the reality that other programs are better than theirs. I married into an Ole Miss family and live in Mississippi. The level of butt hurt and bashing LSU is very elevated right now.
