Another concern about hiring assistants Bil J is are they respected enough to hire a good staff. To me, this might be the biggest reason a school in LSU's position should stay away from this. How many established, SEC Championship/National Championship caliber coaches are wanna come work for let's say a 36-year old Will Muschamp who they are older than and have more experience than? I doubt Gary Crowton would have moved down here to work under Will Muschamp. Or Jimbo for that matter.

I think this is the only reasonable anti-argument.

oh yes he has. he essentially recruited a starting 5 last year that, if they develop, will be sick as shite

i know spurrier hates to recruit and all but...

could him coming here create a big buzz for the recruiting season? i'm not saying it will, but i can see a push

agreed, you don't have to work that hard to recruit when you are spurrier. dial a number and say your fricking name.

Maybe it was Crowton more than Studrawa, but schemewise, I see our linemen taking out linebackers and safties this year a LOT more than I can ever remember. I have a hard time believing that Hester's success this year is due to either himself or a somehow miraculously talented OL. IMO it's all about the O-Line scheming, whoever I can credit for it.

is really a sure thing the D gets better though?

I know tebow and co. will get better, but I like our offensive talent to put up some serious points next season

exactly i'm not worried about our recruiting, generally. spurrier may not do shite, but as long as we bring in talent
