I'm confident that hire #3 will be a major hire also. How soon before those two were announced was it public knowledge they were coming to LSU?

And either not offering Riley a contract or offered one and got shot down. FACTS.

I think we had a bit more lead time on Mulkey than Johnson. But for both it wasn’t long at all. The difference being there was a lot of chatter about Sully and Bianco for baseball; WBB was silent before Mulkey.

The Woodward “got” Mulkey thing is hilarious to me.. He gave her a ridiculous contract for a non revenue sport and she’s from Louisiana. It was kind of a no brainer.

Also, Johnson was his 4th choice after repeatedly getting declined.

Who has Woody ever found by doing his homework? Why do people say he’s so great? Is it just the fact that he overpays to get these coaches that makes him appear to be this great AD?

This comment is not based on reality. It blows my mind how some of you and be so confidently incorrect.

Go ahead and drop a link for that, chief.

Don’t forget his role in signing Orgeron to an extension after the 2019 season.

Scott is great at putting the entire deal together with the coach, the boosters and the school. It's not Scott's money to write a check. There must be backing to that money.

Pretty much standard procedure after winning a national championship in any sport.

You’re telling me that after arguably the most dominant college football season in history Coach O got a big contract extension?

That would’ve happened nowhere else!

You know how fricking stupid you sound? Yeah, that literally goes for every single coach in the world. Hell, that goes for me and you as as well.

Either he was offered a contract or not, good call with that profound statement.

I don’t think Johnson is Mulkey. Corbin would be the equivalent or perhaps o Sullivan which was almost the hire. Not mad about johnson we don’t know yet. Time will tell.

Profound in that he offered him and lost out to another school or he didn't offer him and winds up with Mark Stoops. Either way, not a good job.

Why you think SW announced O 6 weeks ago?.. He knew there would be firings at end of season. Wanted to lock up coach before the scramble.

What ongoing NCAA investigations did Woodward have to explain to Mulkey and Johnson?

I'm not saying the NCAA is going to smackdown LSU, because the NCAA has been so inconsistent with what they do that I have no idea. Just saying that if I was being considered for the LSU job that I'd want to know the status of that investigation before I walked into a program with that issue still outstanding.
