Hell 60% of the fan base will be actively trying to get rid of next HC soon as he’s announced. Y’all have taken over the Arkansas fan base as most neurotic easily. It’s hard to be a LSU fan with some of the clowns in the fan base

This thread just proves the fact that our fans wouldn't be happy unless we cloned Saban as he was at 48 years old. Hired him and had a golden age like Bama has had the past 15 years.

Last night, some people here wanted to pay him $12m/year.
What are we up to today? 15?

I'm really struggling to see how Dave Aranda is a clone of Saban.

Yup brain fart in my part. I was thinking of Jimbo and then omitted him.

Dave is an brilliant defensive mind that will be an efficient and organized HC. The main question is if he can recruit, but he's smart enough to learn that (and get the right support staff). Plus, recruiting in LA is easier than elsewhere. Also, while we've never seen Riley put together a great defense, Aranda seems to have Baylor's offense doing rather well right now (yes, I know it's against Big-12 defenses).
I guess we will see when Baylor and OU play in November. If Baylor wins that one I imagine a lot of people will jump on the Aranda train.
Of course, our opinions mean nothing. SW is going to do what he is going to do. Fun to speculate though.

Puzzling that people are so star struck by Lincoln Riley, but they also politicked for Tom Herman and Jimbo, too, so consider the source. They just get in line and repeat what they've heard.
Lincoln Riley has every advantage a coach could want - a talented roster, an easy schedule, great facilities, passionate fan base, a weak conference, easy entrance to the playoff, and a football heritage that far surpasses that of LSU - and he's beaten exactly one really good team in his entire career.
One.
He beat Ohio State in the regular season with his best team and a Heisman winner at quarterback. He's lost every other time. Every other time.
He did manage to beat a shell of a Florida team last year, a team absent many of the players who had lost to a 5-5 LSU team in Gainesville. That's a feather in his cap.
Yep, that's the guy LSU fans want, apparently. Of course, LSU fans were "crazy 'bout Curley". Consider the source.

Would rather keep O than hire Riley

He barley survives his own conference schedule… how do you expect him to do with an SEC schedule?

This board really is this stupid isn’t it.
Name all the coaches with Playoff wins that LSU can get.
