While this all may pan out, it seems the previous reports are all highly exaggerated.

Colorado has jumped ship. But not Oklahoma State, yet.
The school issued a release to combat a report by TMZ Sports that had the Cowboys on the verge of accepting an invitation to the Pac-10.
“The report circulating about an immediate announcement today concerning Oklahoma State University and conference realignment is without merit.
"There are no announcements planned by Oklahoma State University. We remain committed to the Big 12 Conference. If there are additional defections, we will have to evaluate our options.”

I also think Louisville or even Memphis should be looked at as well - perfect SEC fits
Comments like this make a mockery of expansion talk. Those two schools wouldn't even get a form letter from the SEC. They will be lucky to keep the status quo, if they don't drop a notch.

Memphis
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES is this school worthy of SEC membership. Louisville is a legitimate prospcet, but Memphis State just is not a big time program. Their basketball has a spike about once a generation, but when that is not happening, they play before a bunch of folks dressed as empty seats. Their football fans don't travel. They don't have an on-campus stadium. The stadium they do have is a dump in a ghetto. It is either empty on game day, or full of the visitors when they play a real program like tennessee or old miss.
This should never, ever, ever be considered.

How does Texas Tech get so much protection? They are like the Fredo to Texas's Michael.
Seriously. They had one good year and were obviously overrated that year because we just embarrassed them.

Texas is playing out its options. OU is waiting on Texas, as is A&M, Ok. State and T. Tech. They know where the money comes from. Texas will bring in big money no matter where it goes, if it goes anywhere.

I hope Ole Miss becomes the Landsharks officially.
