Conference Expansion (Basketball perspective) - Big East dissolving?

If the Big East goes away as a football conference, what happens to teams like Marquette, Villanova, Georgetown, and St. John's that don't have FBS football teams? These are all very, very good basketball schools with lots of tradition. Not to mention other schools like Providence, Seton Hall, and DePaul that may not have as much basketball success currently, but would still be left out of the loop.
Will the Big East try to keep whatever is left of the conference for basketball purposes? Or is this an opportunity for a conference like the Atlantic 10 (who already has a ton of schools that don't compete in FBS football) to come in and swoop up some of these teams? That would make for quite a solid basketball conference.
Yes, I understand football is the huge moneymaker. And I understand that basketball isn't really even being looked at when it comes to all of this conference expansion talk. However, I'm very interested to see what happens to all of these non-football Big East schools.
I'm assuming Cincinnati, Louisville, and West Virginia will try to join a BCS football conference.

The problem with the Big East has always been the football/basketball divide. I think they clearly continue with their basketball members. Which would still be a good conference for hoops.

i doubt the big east goes away completely - but its bcs spot is in serious trouble
it may go to a non football conference
it may go to a non football conference

Looking at it from the other side, maybe the Big East tries to invade the Atlantic 10 and steal a few teams like St. Joseph's and Richmond to strengthen the conference that way, assuming they are looking to go basketball-only.
Where does that leave TCU?

The BE will be fine from a basketball perspective. Their roots are in hoops and that's where they will end up. Possible adds: Memphis, Umass, Xavier, Central Florida, Temple, Army, Navy, Big 12 remnants.

Memphis to the Big East for basketball purposes is inevitable at this point.
Basketball
Georgetown
Marquette
St. John's
Villanova
DePaul
Providence
Seton Hall
Memphis
Xavier
South Florida
Louisville???
West Virginia???
Cincinnati???
Even with the question marks, basketball will be fine. You're right.
As for football, if TCU still comes....
Memphis
TCU
West Virginia
Cincinnati
Louisville
South Florida
And that's assuming Louisville and West Virginia stay in the conference. I don't know how the Big East will stay a football conference.

i am assuming ND will inevitably leave the big east, so i see the basketball only schools remaining would be:
depaul
georgetown
marquette
st. john's
providence
villanova
add st. joseph's, temple, umass and xavier and you have a pretty good 10 member basketball league.
