Dont care.

They will never split up the AU/UGA game.

Move Bama and AU to the East, put Mizzou and Kentucky in the West, and have Ark-Tenn as an annual game.

That's why they should be in the West with Arkansas, A&M, and Kentucky.

Is it true that there is sort of an unwritten agreement between the Florida, Georgia, and S. Carolina schools to veto the addition of anyone from their states? FSU or Clemson would be awesome additions, but i keep hearing that those schools would provide enough votes to block such an addition.

Putting them in the East makes the most sense but everyone seems so set on fricking the divisions up.

Redundant additions. There's no money in it. They'll expand only for a school that opens up a new TV market. Virginia, Missouri, North Carolina, West Virginia, Oklahoma, etc.

I like this idea the most for the obvious reason it's the only way to preserve rivalries. Who cares about geography

Most moronic thing about this expansion is this idea about footprints. Newsflash: the SEC footprint is already national.

Any region we add already has access to 90% of the SEC's games via ESPN and CBS. We get paid based on ratings, and FSU would certainly deliver.

Agreed, Geography was obviously thrown out the window when Mizzou got invited to the SEC in the first place

Hard to get any less SouthEastern than Columbus Missouri

I know Vol fans dont want to give up the 3rd Saturday in October in exchange for an annual trip to Columbia, MO... and neither do we

Yeah I dont get the whole TV market thing...

Like fans in Texas are gonna turn off the Longhorns game to watch the Aggies get beat by South Carolina or Vanderbilt?

but its all about potential eyeballs and TV ad execs care about that so thats how you get a bigger TV deal so its seems we are gonna pimp ourselves out for the extra flow

They would go to the west due to travel cost as it is significantly closer to every west school. The third Saturday in October already fricked up schedules once in 92. Nobody outside UT and UA cares about it. Let it go, stop living in the past. When we go to 16 teams you will have to give it up anyway, may as well end it now.

How can you NOT love the State of Texas.

Take note, SEC fans. When you enter this state for a game, you will be required to have a firearm with you at all times. If you don't have a firearm, one will be provided on a temporary basis.

Ha, you underestimate the sick obsession some of the remaining Big 12 schools have with us. Many will be tuning in hoping we lose and a lot of football fans with no real ties to Texas or Texas A&M will be tuning in hoping we can represent the state well...which will be very tough to do especially in the first few years as we adjust.

Teams and fans will pretty much have to fly to all of their games whether they are in the east or west. I would say the increased revenue they will make in the SEC combined with the level of stability easily offsets increased travel costs.
