You aren't wrong about the unsactioned thing but it's been over 20 years since they made any sense. The last one I remember making ANY sense was Shawn vs Hunter in 2002 with the premise being that WWE doctors couldn't clear HBK bc of his back injury

Now they are selling Randy's injury and "idk when we will see him again". Maybe they are trying to write him off for awhile with that injury and trying to leave it where Randy can come back as a face.
