I've been on a cruise for the last week and a half, what is official and where do things stand?

Texas is making some schools richer and A&M and Mizzou are looking silly. Nebraska is a bunch of pussies.

Nebraska will join Big Ten in 2011. Colorado will join Pac-10 in 2012. Pac-10 is trying to get Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Texas A&M to join Pac-10 as well. Texas and Texas Tech's Board of Regents will hold a meeting on Tuesday to discuss it. Oklahoma will hold a meeting on Wednesday. Texas A&M is still considering joining the SEC. SEC really wants Texas and Oklahoma.

Official--Nebraska is going to the Big 10, Colorado is going to the PAC-10, and Boise State is taking its Smurf Turf to the Mountain West.
Now all the rumors. Everyone in the Big 12 South except Baylor is heading to the PAC-10, except that A&M is also considering coming to the Promised Land (the SEC). OU has also been mentioned as an SEC invitee but has publicly stated that it wants to hang with the Bevo Boys at Texas.
If A&M goes to the SEC then rumors are that Utah joins the PAC-10, with Kansas also mentioned.
The mysterious "14th SEC team" (should the 12th Man join as the 13th Team) is highly debated, and most likely would be from the east. The SEC has stated that they do NOT want to add a team in an existing state, so that rules out Georgia Tech, Miami, Florida State, or Clemson. The hottest rumor is Virginia Tech; other rumored candidates include NC State, UNC, Duke, Maryland, and even Louisville (not technically east but would be tossed in with SEC East member Kentucky).

Texas is scared of playing teams that could beat them. They would like to join a conference they could dominate and in turn lose recruits to the SEC and kill their football program and even lose by more when they face the SEC in the National Championship from now on. That sums it up I believe and oh yeah A&M is interested in joining the SEC and will probably take most of Texas talent from now on making them a better team.

I'm so sick of seeing this Texas is scared BS. What they want is money and power. They'll go to the conference where they have the most of both. SEC will not allow Texas to run roughshot over the conference so that's a big reason why UT to SEC isn't happening.
