I’m sure this has been discussed before. Looking at doing a week for kids spring break at a family friendly beach in Florida. Any recs?

We considered the Bahamas but want to stay in the states.

Henderson Inn (the family side). The other side is adult only iirc. Both are nice.

There are "family friendly" beaches during Spring break?

I like it a lot, but would be looking further south in March.

Anna Maria Island. We went there this past summer and enjoyed it a lot. It is low key. Gorgeous sunset views. We booked a condo through this condo rental company and had no issues.

In Destin? During Spring break? The area is a zoo during Spring break.

It is a nice place for the rest of the year.

Henderson Inn is right on the border of the state park, so its kind of secluded (as much as you can be in Destin).

Also, I feel like Destin is actually less crowded these days compared to seaside and the rest of 30A. obviously more people in destin, but you can actually get into a restaurant there without an hour wait.

This would be a good choice. Just make sure you rent a golf cart as soon as possible. It's the best way to get around the island.

On our very short list of places where we'd like to purchase a place. Amazing island and subtropical so March will be fantastic weather. We drive down to Marco from Naples at least twice a month to hang out. Isles of Capri has a very nice restaurant at the marina (Island Gypsy) and a straight up dive bar a little ways further down the road (Fish House).

Spent the better part of a week there earlier this month before heading down to the keys. Drove up to Naples for some Fernandez The Bull.

I live a couple of miles or so from Fernandez. Good stuff. Next time get a Cuban sandwich from Van Van. Very good Cuban sandwich.

Cocoa Beach area - not crazy w/spring break kids, good food options, reasonable prices, and you might see a launch or two.

Agree with this. The panhandle is very hit or miss with weather that early.

I've been where there have been weeks that were great - sunny and 70's or even 80's and then there have been weeks that were 50's and raining all week, or a combination of the two.

Will have to check Van Van out. Went into Bleu Provence last week for some Christmas wine shopping and got stocked up.
