NE Travel Hell 1/27 through the weekend

Major snowstorm looking likely for I95 region this weekend. Thinking is 2-6" from near DC up to NYC. Big hit to Boston area, with totals pushing 18" if placement is just right but should get half a foot easily.
So Cuse, Im leaving this to you other than updating predictions.

Thanks for the heads up, had no clue as I'm headed to Utah in two days so I have skiing on my mind. Always love a good northeast storm though that screws up air travel for the rest of the country. If anyone's got flight issues they can post here and hopefully someone can help while I'm skiing.

Got two scenarios in mind (well i have a third that busts but its my lowest confidence option).
#1 Hammers Boston
#2 Hammers NJ/Long Island/CT
Also, enjoy the skiing. Im in NOLA for the rest of winter, so carve it up nice for me.

Which scenario is playing out- Boston or NJ/CT/Long Island?
Surprised you went back to Nola, you seemed to be enjoying CO a lot based on your posts here

I need to edit the OP because I totally fricked up the date. The storm wont be a thing for another day or two.

Thank you for your concern and to answer your question yes, I have in fact stocked my bar cart for the impending weekend.

Updated with snowfall projections. Flying through Philly...fingers crossed. JFK/LGA/EWR/BOS
Have fun with that.
I really would like to be in Hyannis Friday Night.

I'll be sticking far south next week, DAL-ATL-MSY. Hopefully the NE recovers quickly and doesn't impact other flights down the line. It's already been a rough operational month.

Got blizzard warnings down for eastern 2/3s of Long Island, up the coast including Boston. NYC firmly in the winter storm warning, which will be plenty disruptive.
Gonna be a bitch up there.

A travel buddy of mine in Manhattan says it's already coming down.

I bet Jersey and NYC over perform on totals tonight and NYC area airports end up being pretty fricked tonight.

Where are the pics and totals from our NE posters?

I think we ended up getting something around 21” in our area. I only took a couple photos earlier in the day, but here you go.

Is it the fluffy stuff or the good snowball snow?
Posted on 1/29/22 at 10:42 pm to CuseTiger
Looking at the power outages, Id imagine its pretty fluffy. The Cape doesnt appear to be as lucky with the high winds plus a wetter snow.
