Wife is turning 40, wants to go to Miami. Thinking fly in on a Thursday, fly out on a Sunday. Been to Key West a bunch, 100% going to drive down to Key Largo, any other suggestions for Miami? Any help is appreciated.

Just did a weekend in Miami for wife’s 40th as well.
Drove in Friday. Had lunch at Fiola down in Coral Gables. Loved it and driving around whole area to look at the houses. Stayed at Loew’s on South Beach. Hit up SLS hotel for drinks/snacks. Dinner Friday night at The Surf Club.
Saturday walk up and walked around south beach. Then to Calle Ocho and spent time at a couple of bars. Ball and Chain recommended on here was awesome. But up Sanguich for some snacks. Then to Jaguar Sun for cocktails. Sushi in Wynwood at Hiyakawa. Sunday breakfast and pastries at Versailles.
Had never been to Miami and absolutely loved it. Such a cool city with lots of different neighborhoods with separate identities and vibes.
Forget driving down to key largo.

If going to Key Largo, go on down to Islamorada and feed the tarpon at Robbie’s. Good lunch spot too

We honeymooned in Miami in 2021. Stayed at 1 Hotel on South Beach which was fantastic. Great adult rooftop pool. Ocean access.
We really enjoyed getting a couple of drinks at the Versace Mansion. Bartender gave us a little tip to go up a roped off stairwell. Went up to Versace's observatory. Felt like it hadn't changed since the 80s. Really cool.
We stayed on South Beach most of the time but did go to Versailles like the above poster. Had to get an authentic Cuban.
One night we ate at a place called La Mar that had a great waterfront view of the skyline and really good food. That was one of the wife's picks.
I'm predictable and just want a huge steak, so we ate one night at Smith&Wollensky. It's a chain, obviously, but the views and food were very good.
We had a blast down there. Enjoy!

30+ yr old crowd will have wayyy more fun in Little Havana on Calle Ocho.
If you’re prone to beautiful, all natural, non-surgery enhanced Cuban women, I feel bad for you. Lol

Sounds like you'll be focusing on city-stuff with the wife to celebrate that milestone, and a lot of other posters gave great recs on places to drink/eat .
This may not apply for this trip (unless your wife is outdoorsy and adventurous) but I really enjoyed doing an Everglade Airboat tour out by Kendall Lakes/Tamiami.
