Tigerdroppings not mentioned as the sole reason it was solved as many of you like to claim
This guy is a bit boring. Certainly not as good as Mike at That Chapter or Mr. Ballen but still a decent video on the case.

TD posters like to take credit for solving it when it was someone who happens to post on TD solving it on his own.

Can you give a brief rundown of what happened with the board "solving" the case? I never read the thread, but watched her episode of See No Evil the other day and it of course never mentioned TD.

It's amazing how much it has evolved over the past 10 years. TD acts like they were out there doing the investigation
In reality, it was a poster saying "Hey I think my sister's fiance may be the killer for a variety of reasons and I am calling the cops" The OT...."ZOMG we solved it!"

Collectively the OT cant tie its own shoes

This is correct.
We just got lucky and got to see the play by play.

For the strength of the pack is the Wolf (OT poster), and the strength of the wolf is the Pack (OT lounge).

A poster on this board had a sister who I think was dating the killer. She brought him over to a family get together or something. It was suspected that the killer had injuries. If I recall I think the police were somewhat specific on the type of injuries the killer had or likely had.
The injury was on his hand or arm (or both) and the the guy the poster's sister brought over had his hand and arm bandaged up. They called law enforcement and that lead to the capture of him.
He was a guy who just so happened to post here. It wasn't anything done through the board to solve it.

I watched that thread happen in real time and no one here solved anything. It was all the Adam dude basically bouncing the creepy shite that psycho was doing off of the board and then decided to call the police on his own.
Still the most impactful TD thread ever IMO.
May that frick rot forever

Slanderous internet conjecture that her grieving friend friend killed her in a rage from being friend-zoned is hardly what I would call solving the case. That's the contribution I remember from TD.

It's been 5 years...memory is a little off as to how many days passed between events so bear with me here:
So I get a call at work one day from my FIL saying Brandon showed up at some church thing with bandages saying he was stabbed while pumping gas in nola. The story was that he faught them off, drove to a hospital in NOLA, and got stitched up. We found it rather odd that he didn't file a police report or anything like that.
Few days later I get another call from FIL saying SIL pulled a background report (obviously we were all asking ourselves WTF about his story) and we found out he had a class 3 sex offense. I posted that thread that night asking for advice or a number to call to get the details. Someone here gave me the rayne DA's number and we had a chat...found out all of the details.
- Few days later the truck was blasted all over news and social media...FIL and I had a "funny" talk about "holy shite that's the same truck as Brandon...what if???"
- another week or so passed and they started saying they found a bike on whiskey bay. I call FIL with this crazy timeline theory along the lines of "OK, so hear me out. Brandon abducts girl, girl stabs Brandon, Brandon kills girl, throws bike and maybe body over whiskey bay, drives to nola to get treated for [stab wounds] at hospital. FIL basically in agreement but that's just far too crazy and doesn't happen to people like us
- FIL calls and says Brandon drives around behind their property to throw away bloody shirt. Says it's the shirt he was wearing the night of the stabbing and he just wanted to toss it. Drives off but stops halfway down the driveway and puts truck in park for what seemed like 10-15 minutes
-FIL now on board with my crazy arse theory and calls to tell me Brandon's truck is parked outside his house with 4 brand new tires..insignificant
-FIL calls few days later saying Brandon has new truck. He comes into town that night for us to all go to dinner. He says his new truck has "dons wholesale" sticker so I call and ask if they had Brandon's truck and that I was a friend/wanted to buy it. They say Brandon never traded anything in.
-another week goes by and they find a white Silverado burned in Texas that was started by tires.
-At this point I'm losing sleep and pacing through apartment. I told FIL if he doesn't call someone I will. I ended up calling a friend of mine who is a detective for LPD. He tells me he's literally shaking and they weren't even remotely looking into this guy. Tells me he will call back soon.
- I get the call to come in and do video interview. They say they are looking into it and they will be in touch.
- at least a month goes by where I hear absolutely nothing. They were on to some teenager or something that ended up being a dead end. It wasn't until like 4-5 weeks later before they even legitimately looked into Brandon.
- I get the call from my friend..."it's him." 5 minutes later my FIL calls and tells me he went in and reported everything as well with the sheriffs dept. his guy called and said "it's him."
- another 3 weeks goes by and we have to sit down for fricking Father's Day. We had to sit there at the god damn table and look this frick in the eyes knowing he killed someone. He had this smug fricking look that I will never forget. My fists were literally clinched under the table. (Keep in mind only my FIL and our wives know at this point)
-we get the call that he is coming in from offshore and they will have cops every few miles hidden to track his trip home. I remember my detective friend saying he was driving abnormally fast
-they pull Brandon over for routine traffic stop. FIL goes to the jail like y'all see on dateline and I went to SIL house to let them search the property for a body. They had helicopters, search dogs, and entire crime lab sweeping house and 40 something acres. We ended up giving them so much shite that they didn't really have to do much work. FBI got involved for a second to triangulate position via cell records and the case was closed. He had no choice but to confess.
He later tried to sue my FIL and I....
I'm forgetting a ton of stuff but I'm drunk and that's the best I can do right now
