I’m of the opinion that the companies damage infrastructure, use police and fire services, and employees send their kids to the schools that those property taxes are voted on to support. They’re using resources they aren’t paying for.

My kids went to catholic school for a total of 9 years. I went to church there some, was in the das club for cooking events, hunted and hung out with the priest. Never once did I feel like anything we were doing had anything to do with the pope. Other than the fact that all extra money went to the archdiocese.

I work offshore man, there are reasons why people can't get there. I usually vote early and in person. On one occasion I was home for neither so I had a ballot mailed to me, just to understand the process. It was entirely too easy.
