Well the PGA is next, I think he's DL suspended.

The US Open is the next major, followed by the Open, then the PGA Championship.

Does Augusta honor any tour suspensions? Or is this his own volition?

Interesting question. I would imagine Augusta follows the Tours actions with regards to suspensions. But then again the green jackets have been known to make their own rules.

I stand corrected. You are right. Do you know when the schedule was changed?
Posted on 3/21/22 at 7:18 pm to COTiger
A year or two ago. Don’t remember the reason.

I thought in 2019 when the players
Moved back to March.
Moved back to March.

Off topic. Are you in the Space Force? I spent my last four years in the USAF (1982 - 1986) in Colorado Springs getting USAF Space Command up & running. I spent my last 17 years working for a contractor operating, maintaining, & sustaining the Air Force Satellite Control Network.

Phil speaks glowingly of Augusta.
The USGA on the other hand I’m sure would gladly follow any suspensions.

I am not in the Space Force. Maybe if I were a young man all over again…

I’ve always been interested in those areas but after college my life took another path. Not serving is a big regret. But it all worked out.
Thank you for your service

The Players was moved to March and the PGA was moved to May in 2019. This was done to help end the season before football started.
Before, the PGA was in August and the Golf Playoff events were in September. The PGA didn't want to compete with football in September. Now the playoffs are over in August.
The move also probably gives the PGA Championship more prestige. It was the forgotten Major stuck at the end of the year.

Is he suspended for his comments on the Saudi stuff?

We can only speculate as to the reasoning behind Phil's not playing...he's taking time off from tour why would he play an event when he's not in any kind of form...the Master's is bigger than Phil and if he showed up he would distract from what is shaping up to be a Masters that has 10-15 young guns that have a legit shot that winning their 1st Green Jacket. Phil will be back and will be competitive again time heals all wounds! In the mean time lets focus on the fact that 8 of the top 10 players are under 30 and playing some great golf.

The Masters does whatever they want. It's most likely still part of his taking time off.

Oh good grief
Faxon was talking about some really serious shite on the radio this morning that’s about to come out in the book. Serious financial troubles, he only stayed out of jail because he ratted on others with the Dean Foods insider trading, etc
Will be a fun time on here when the book comes out

So without personal knowledge of me you are now putting me in the POS pool? Hmmm
