What is the PGA's beef with these Saudi events?

I'm a casual golf watcher, don't follow tour gossip, so I am in the dark on all of this drama.
What is the PGA and USGA beef with these events? What exactly is the controversy?

They're attempting to poach the Tour's best players, thereby weakening the product the Tour puts out, which is bad for business.
My hope is that it crashes, but causes the Tour to look in the mirror for the first time and figure out how to turn out a better product for us consumers.

OK.
Sounds like the free market at work. If DJ can get better money on a rival tour, sounds like the PGA needs to step-up its game.
If DJ plays in the RBC and misses the cut, he doesn't get paid. He's out the expenses of travel, plays in the pro-Am, kisses babies, signs autographs...and all that stuff.
How is this different than any other labor dispute? What am I missing?

Almost certainly, maybe not simultaneously, but yes I would be welcome back.

If you are posting this on a golf forum it means you are not the marginal viewer that the PGA cares about unfortunately. We will always have featured groups

maybe not simultaneously

That's not what you asked, but I'm also not an independent contractor, much less a professional golfer.

Which is different than letting players do DP World Tour events? How?

Why would an organization want its independent contractors, or members, doing concurrent business with its biggest competitor and threat?

They already did that with the DP World Tour.

They are cutting into, the profits of a non profit organization.

They wouldn't, and right now it's only Dan with name cache, but what if it become Rahm and DeChambeau and Keopka and possibly others?
Whats better, those guys playing relatively the same PGA Tour schedule and they usually do in addition to LIV events or permanently barring them?
That of course is not the current reality, but it may not be that far off in like a month.
We'll see what happens it's going to be interesting either way.

They already did that with the DP World Tour.
LIV has made it no secret their goal is to bring down the Tour

The DP World Tour is the new name of the European Tour and they and the PGA Tour are aligned.

But the PGA and DP were still competitors. Every time a PGA tour player played in europe, it was a week they weren't in the USA.
Can you point me to a link where the Asian tour has said they wanted to destroy the PGA? From all I have found, they just want a worldwide presence and to have some of the best golfers in the world regularly participate.

Sounds more like collusion since they are competitors for talent too.

I don't feel like looking it up but why does the PGA Tour not look at the European Tour the same way?
Why does it let its member compete on the European Tour?
