Rickie can play in almost any tournament he wants for the next 15 years through sponsors exemptions.

And for whatever reason, still sells tickets and puts eyes on the Tv.
He's not good anymore, but he's still a draw for the Tour and him leaving hurts them

how do these LIV contracts work?

Some are getting guaranteed money as long as they play a certain number of events. No cut. 48 players only. They also have to wear the logo apparently if they're not in a LIV event. Other marketing requirements.
Will be interesting to see OWGR and how that shakes out for a 54 hole event.
