I’d give it a try going

Hilliard for 3
Fontenot/Vietmeir/Hasty for 3
And try to get 3 from Gervase

I’d pitch well.

Collins has to be one of the first arms out the pen.

Start Hilliard, have someone else ready from the start of the game. Let Hilliard go as long as he's effective, then play a wait and see approach the rest of the game. The only pitcher I wouldn't bring in at all due to how much they've thrown already would be Floyd. Everyone else shoiuld be available for at least a couple batters if needed.

Hilliard to start, and go as long as he's effective. Gervase to finish the last inning or 2. Hasty, Fontenot, Collins in some order as needed between that.

Hilliard until he isn’t effective is how I’d start and Gervase would pitch the 8th and the 9th.

The rest I piece together in whatever way I possibly can based on matchups.

Hilliard
Collins
Vietmeier
Gervase

They have not seen Hilliard. And the last 3 guys did well vs USM in the prior games.

Hilliard>Fontenot>Reyzelman>Gervase. Hasty in there wherever it makes sense for a string of lefties. Each go as long as they are rolling. Those are my 5.

You hand ball to Hilliard & tell him we need you to battle your arse off for as much as you got in the tank.

Viet/Fontenot/Gervase with what's left. Tell them to work quick and stop thinking so damn much.

Go after these USM hitters that struggled with everyone not named LSU (in this Regional)

I wouldn’t let Hasty touch a ball.

Or Ryzelman! That crowd had that guy so rattled with his little foot bobbing that he looked like he was gonna cry

Last night was not the first time the fans for the other teams were counting his foot taps.

Please no Hasty. He lost his mojo and has the Yips currently. Can't afford him throwing anymore balls to the backstop and giving up runs

I would start the guy that finished the game for LSU; USM had trouble with him. He pitches to spots, has good velocity, and a decent breaking ball. He should be able to give several innings.

I like that rotation. We need to manufacture runs tonight. I would like seeing us run with balls in the dirt, bunt to move runners if needed or steal. We have to put pressure on their pitchers especially if we are not hitting like last night.
