It shouldn't have shocked anyone that a returning player would get more opportunities earlier in the season than others without experience. Only on this board would people be complaining about a bench player getting playing time in Feb/Mar midweek games and sparingly on the weekends. If he was starting night after night, it might make more sense, but he hasn't been

I don't get why this is still a narrative. Reaves has started 2 weekend games out of 10 (including last night) the entire season. Pretty sure he was the last of the bench last night in the B7 inning. He's only appeared in 8 games this year. Almost all his run has been in midweek games. And had 3 plate appearances the first weekend. He played in one game in Jacksonville. He started Sunday against Dartmouth. Reaves' opportunities have shrunk as the season has gone on if you've been paying any attention.

our defense was embarrassing Jay's first year. Until a late season turnaround, we had been hovering around a .950 team field %. Thompson and Doughty combined for 32 errors in the middle of our infield, and Berry/Merrifield had 12 more at third. Cranford also had 5 errors at 2nd in limited playing time. And that doesn't even include Mcmanus being unable to keep balls in the dirt in front of him
