Heading to Destin today for a month for work.

What restaurants should I check out?

What places like bars or restaurants have live music in the evenings for folks in there 30s or 40s?

I will have 3 off days per week so obviously the beach during the day, just looking for things to do in the evening and at night.

I’m a fan of the donut hole. Goods donuts and breakfast plates but crowded.

Just got back last night. We had good dinners at Mimmo's Italian Restaurant and Louis Louis. Cafe Thirty-A is always one of my favorites.

I really like Boshamps at the harbor. Probably the best of the classic beachside seafood spots.

Are you referring to the one on Lewis-Turner Blvd?

All the others, including the one on the island, closed and this is his "restart".

The one on the island is now called FuBars.. never been there.

Mary's Kitchen in FWB for comfort food.

The Gulf just over the Brooks Bridge is good but the menu is pretty limited. Nice spot on the sound.

Stewbys on Racetrack in Ft Walton, Shalimar Cheers on Eglin Pkwy for great bar food and sports, 80 beers on tap. Bavarian Whirthaus on 98 in Ft Walton for authentic German.

Not the most popular places for tourists but local favorites...
