Any estate attorneys here that I can ask a question to offline regarding usufruct and naked ownership? Thanks.

If you aren't going to post it online, good luck. A lot of attorney's will offer a short intro consultation session for free or cheap.

I would rather not put the details online. It is not a very in depth question just a setup I have never seen before. I would offer some sort of compensation.

Not an attorney but I know that usufruct means that person has use of the assets without giving them ownership. Example; I have a revocable trust that names my children equally. My will states that upon my death, all I have goes into the trust. The kids own it all through the trust but my wife has full use of it until her death. Her will says the same. She would own half of the house but can't sell it without the trust agreeing to do so but she can still live there, remodel it if she wants, treat it like it's 100 % hers.

Thanks, but I know what it means and how it works. My question is a structuring question when a spouse dies.

I don’t really care to answer your question, but usus, fructus and abusus are fun words to say and explain.
Also pretty sure usufruct and naked ownership are exclusively civilian concepts not followed by the 49 other common law states.

Hey man we agree! But exactly, if you have specific questions you can’t post online that’s the exact time that you need to pay for the advice.

We know. The answer to your question is either in the Code or the cases and you’re too lazy and/or ignorant to read either!
