Can you still pay a fee on game day to convert student tickets to general population tickets? If so, do you know how much it costs this season?

yes except for UGA and Bama. I think it costs about $30-$40.

they only allow 500 upgrades per game. No up grades for uga or bama. It has to be done prior to the day of the game.

do you think they will look at the picture on the id any harder for the uga/bama games?

From lsusports.net
For specified games, student tickets may be “upgraded” to a Student Guest Ticket which can be used by a non-LSU student to gain entrance into the student section.
For the 2008 season, upgrades will be available for every game EXCEPT the Georgia and Alabama games.
In order to upgrade a student ticket, the ticket must be brought to the LSU Ticket Office where an upgrade fee (see below for game-by-game fees) must be paid by cash or credit card.
There is a limit of 500 student ticket upgrades per game that are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Upgrades will end at 5 p.m. CT the day before each home game or as soon as 500 upgrades are processed -- whichever comes first.
* Student tickets may be upgraded beginning in late August 2008. The exact date will be announced during the summer.
* Upgrades will NOT be available for the Georgia and Alabama games
* A limit of 500 upgrades will be processed for the other six (6) games on a first come, first served basis.
* Upgrades for future games can take place anytime prior to game day, provided that the limit of 500 has not been reached.
* The deadline for upgrades will be 5 p.m. CT on the day before the game if 500 have not been processed prior to that time.
* Upgrades will NOT be processed on the day of the game for any reason.
* Tickets used for upgrades do not need to be transferred and may be used by anyone.
* For the 2008 season, upgrade prices are $27 for reserved tickets and $33 for general admission tickets for the Appalachian State, Troy, North Texas and Tulane games; and $32 for reserved tickets and $38 for general admission tickets for the Mississippi State and Ole Miss games.
* Credit card and cash are the only accepted forms of payment.

I know some people that have made it through on other people's ids, and I know some that haven't made it. Most of the time though you can get through. No one ever looks at my id. They just scan it.

just dont look obvious and dont use a different gender/race and you wont have any problems
and go in the gates early when there is the big rush and they dont even have time to look at pics

yea, i was just thinking that it may be a problem b/c the school's reasoning for not allowing upgrades for these 2 games was to keep more students in the student section, thus they might have told the workers to make this a priority. but i'm with ya'll, just don't see where they will have the time or even care with that many people going through.

I saw some 30-40 year old trying to use student ids and tickets and they were pulled aside and had IDs confiscated... pretty sucky, but if you are older than mid 20s you should expect to be questioned...

This would have been for the Ole Miss game but I won't get to BR until a few hours before the game starts. You used to be able to do it on game day. Oh well.

you may try calling the ticket office, you might be able to do it over the phone
