Which position should I take?

I’m thinking I could do 6th and still get Henry, or Ekeler may fall. ESPN draft by the way.

1) make your own rankings

2) decide where the tier breaks are

3) set yourself up to love your first 2/3 picks. Anything beyond that is too hard to project

Say you do this exercise and think there are 14 players that are first round caliber so you choose #11. Or maybe you are convinced there’s a massive drop off at running back after RB6 and you like the players who are guaranteed to come back to you at #18/19.

Possible for Henry to fall to 6. Ekler's likely to be in the Top 3 or 4. Of course, anything's possible based upon your league.

Najee Harris could be in the 5-7 range maybe. Cook seems to be moving up in that range as well.

Slot wise, maybe shoot for #5 if you can get it. You'd target either Viking (Jefferson or Cook). Come back with a solid WR1 pick in the 2nd like possibly Lamb.

If you went WR at #5, you'd likely be looking at going RB with the likes of possibly Chubb, J. Williams, Fournette, maybe A. Jones.

4 would be the next preferred pick.

4 guarantees you one of cmc , ekeler , or Henry.

Prob lands you another stout running back in the second like Lenny or javonte Williams. I like 4 a lot. I have the two spot in my league and considered trading out to 4.

I've done some mocks and 3/4 or 9/10 are the spots I'm really liking.

3/4 you get one of JT, Ekeler, CMC. You can pair them with a couple of tier 3 WRs coming back or a Tier 3 WR (Sometimes a tier 2 even falls if people start reaching on RBs) in the 2nd and then a tier 3 RB coming back.

9/10 seems to be where Cook is going, which I love. You then get a tier 2 WR in the 2nd and usually have a tier 3 RB in the 3rd.

Thanks for the responses guys.

I ended up going with 4 based on the fact that I’ll likely end up with an RB1 of ekeler or Henry. Or, somehow, Kupp may drop. Then I do like my second pick being a solid RB2 such as Lenny, Aaron Jones, or the like. Keenan Allen who has always produced for me should be there too if I don’t like the RB value.

I like Cook a lot when he’s healthy, but he’s hurt me too many times being hurt.
