My latest guitar project

I was curious to see if I could design a guitar and then sell it for a profit locally so I located a builder overseas and was able to design this dreadnought with a Sitka spruce top and East Indian rosewood back and sides, all solid wood.
I was also able to source a nice case for it, only problem is the logo didn't come out as good as I had hoped it would.
I may just end up keeping it.

I think the logo looks just fine, might have worked better with just a simple gold leaf though.

Probably so.
It sounds really good, it's amazing to me how so many builders are building quality instruments these days.
A lot of Martins and Gibsons aren't necessarily "better" than most of the other stuff on the market with comparable specs.

It took a few weeks, but my new Masterbilt Frontier is really sounding great. I couldn't ask for better. I have to replace the nut soon though, the G string slot was a little too deep from the factory. My friend was able to use some glue and bone dust to do a temporary fix. I already have a pre-slotted Tusq nut for it, I just have to get around to doing it, was just going to wait until time to change strings.
I also have an identical slotted brass nut that I thought I might try. Has anybody on here ever tried a brass nut on an acoustic guitar? Did you like it?
I've played some electrics before with a brass nut, and kind of liked it.
If it doesn't work on the frontier, I can thin it down a little and use it on my LP jr. I have that one almost finished. I made a mistake on that one when I first started putting it together, and cut the headstock design too short, and it has always bothered me. I came up with a good way to extend it though and it's solid. I have some very thin ribbon grained mahogany that I am using to make a veneer to cover the seam of the repair, and have made a pickguard and control cover plate, out of the same piece. I sanded my original finish off and came up with a stain that is a really nice cherry red. It looks really good. That's the guitar that I'm going to try and get signed at the ZZ Top/ Jeff Beck show tomorrow night.
