This should show everyone that there is a fine line between winning and losing.

Most of the unrealistic fans think that even with a green QB and green secondary we should automaticly win another national championship!

Going into the season anything was possible yes, even a National title.

But even I a Die Hard Tiger Fan would have to say that it wasn't a very realistic to think we would win it this year!

Guess, what though guys! Thankfully games are not won and lost on the Rant and despite what some people will say we can still win 10 or 11 games this year and get a big win against Bama in two weeks!

Some will say that I am crazy, but you play the games on the field not on a message board so we shall see!

I do, but I think the gripe is how we have lost. I expected 3 losses, but them to be competitive. Florida was competitive in all of their losses from what I remember.

You're right we've played pretty well

I mean who cares about the fact that for the first time in school history we allowed two seperate teams to score over 50 points...big deal

It's how we are lossing. Florida lost close games.

We are getting blown out!

One loss was a bowl game.

What is dissapointing about LSU is the way they are loosing. Sure, I did not expect them to go undefeated and win the NC, but also, I did not expect to be giving up 50+ points to teams we should be competing with. When LSU is the best, as last season, they had to struggle to beat these teams. This season they are they are getting their asses handed to them. How come the Tigers aren't pushing them to the limit like they did the tigers last season.

On the positive side, you guys lost to SEC teams. At least it wasn't App State or N Texas... that's when I would worry. And Bama is the only other team left that will threaten you. Finishing off 9-3 is solid. Keeping in mind probably about 60% of schools just want to get 6 wins and go bowling.

There were 3 plays that, if they had not gone down the way they did, could have completely swung this game in LSU's favor. LSU could easily be 6-1 right now.

With that said, I think that the frustration with the fans (myself included) is the play of the defense. Defense wins championships. Tiger stadium tends to get louder after a sack than after a great offensive play. LSU, the SEC, they have always been about strong defensive play. It's what we've come to expect, even before Saban came here. If the Tigers had lost by the same margin yesterday for the same reason (INTs for TDs), with a final score of, say, 28-14, it would have been more palatable than watching an obviously confused D giving up 38 points. THAT has a lot to do with the growing angst out there among the Rantards.

I'm permanently on the wagon. shite, I feel like I'm DRIVING the wagon sometimes. This is an even numbered year, and LSU loses at least 2 games on those years, even when that other guy was coaching here. LSU could easily run the table, if they correct just a few issues. These IDIOTS who say that LSU is not a top 25 team are simply too dumb or too reactionary to grasp reality. They've lost 2 games to 2 top 10 teams. It happens. LSU will get better. They will still recruit well. They will be in contention again next year. They are STILL in contention this year for the SEC title, although they will need a little help. THAT is what the focus should be every year. Win the West. If it's a great year, you win the SEC title. If you win the SEC title, you have a great chance of playing for the NC. Just don't expect it every year.

The gators, defense was a little younger, and Tebow was a ball hog, Meyer, did not require him to utilize all of his weapons in the running game last year. Our problem is Les Miles, playing the wrong people, and the lack of a real defensive coordinator. Saban, will have Jarrett Lee for lunch with all those different blitz schemes.

Dead on accurate

That's a very legitimate concern. Scott will need to have a big day for LSU to win that game. However, if the game is tied or close at halftime, LSU wins this game.
