Does anyone know how to make them. I had some at a restaurant a while back and find myself craving them.

Drain a jar of dill chips, pat them dry.

In a bowl, beat 2 egg and 1 cup of buttermilk.

Mix equal parts of flour, cornmeal and add some cajun seasoning and a little bit of salt (cajun already has alot & the pickles are salty too) and some black pepper, mix well. You can use a bowl or a ziploc bag to coat pickles.

Run the pickles thru the egg mixture then coat with flour mixture. Shake off the excess flour before you place pickles in deep fryer. I deep fry mine at a temp of 350 for about 3 minutes, flipping them over during frying. Drain on paper towels.

Serve with Ranch or your favorite dipping sauce.

I don't do this.

I do this.

I just pull them out of the jar and toss them into seasoned Zatarains fish fry. I find they are perfectly seasoned and the juice makes the fish fry stick.

Not that the egg/buttermilk is a bad idea I just think it's an unnecessary step.
