Hate that I have but one upvote to give. Fantastic video!
Have they given you hydroxyzine to try?
Check out Le Blanc. Stayed there a few years ago over 4th of July. Staff went above and beyond. Not a very big resort but the pool was nice. We stayed in an ocean front suite and will definitely go back again.
Yep, chop block for sure.
Intern had a look of WTF in her eyes.
He should have been tackled by the Secret Service.

We put in all Kitchen Aid when we built 2 years ago and have no complaints. Would buy again without hesitation. We have an open floor plan, and the dishwasher is so quiet we never hear it.

Seeing a loved one suffer from cancer is a very hard thing to do. It’s wondeedul that he’s receiving great nursing care and that you want to show your appreciation.
Keep in mind that many times nurses don’t have time to sit and eat. Sending donuts or bagels and coffee for day shift. I woukd also order pizza or bring in cookies for evening shift. That is what I did when my Dad was at MD Anderson.
A note of appreciation sent to the nurse manager letting him/her know about the great care and mentioning nurses by name goes a long way....as does sending a letter to the hospital administrator.

quote:
It was regular civilians who caught Richard Ramirez and not cops. After failing to meet his brother, he returned to Los Angeles early on the morning of August 31. He walked past officers, who were staking out the bus terminal in hopes of catching the killer should he attempt to flee on an outbound bus, to a convenience store in East Los Angeles. After noticing a group of elderly Mexican women fearfully identifying him as "El Matador" (or "The Killer"), Ramirez saw his face on the covers on the newspaper rack and fled the store in a panic. After running across the Santa Ana Freeway, he attempted to carjack a woman but was chased away by bystanders, who pursued him. After hopping over several fences and attempting two more carjackings, he was eventually subdued by a group of residents, one of whom had struck him over the head with a metal bar in the pursuit. The group held him down, relentlessly beating him until police arrived and took Ramirez into custody
Now days people would just whip out a cell phone and not even have the decency to turn it the right way to record video.
Granite
Pros: natural movement, heat resistant, durable, easy to maintain, doesn’t etch or pit like marble (only reason why I went with granite vs marble).
Cons: our slabs were expensive, some people don’t like the natural movement/think it’s too busy.
We did do quartz for bathroom countertops and travertine for rest of bathroom (floors, showers, around tubs).

re: Whole Beef Tenderloin--Big green Egg--suggestions
Posted by ILUVLSU on 5/28/11 at 11:03 pm to LSUPHILLY72
Thanks everyone for all the great suggestions. Ended up doing a rub with kosher salt, pepper and some other spices. Seared each side for a minute and then indirect heat at 250 for an hour or so. The tenderloin came out perfect, so tender and moist you could almost cut it with a fork. Will definely do that again soon. BGE is the way to go.
Thanks Again!!

BIg Green Egg help
Posted by ILUVLSU on 3/12/11 at 1:41 pm
A while back I read a post that talked about a gasket repair on the BGE. I've had mine for 6 months and the gasket needs replacing. I did a search to find the thread, but it didnt show up.
I love my BGE and wished I would have made the switch sooner. I gave away my old smoker and gas grill. Definately worth the money.
Any advice will be appreciated.

its ok. My husband always orders the shrimp fra diavlo. Its another chain italian rest. like the Olive Garden but cost a little more.
We have a Bravo's here in Charlotte and I agree with you. They are a little too pricey for what they serve.
Their Shrimp Fra Diavlo is my husbands favorite. He will eat lunch there once or twice a week during Lent. I love their bread and dipping oil, I could go there and just eat that. Just my two cents.

Slow Cooker Recipes???
Posted by ILUVLSU on 1/7/09 at 10:24 am
Anyone have any good slow cooker recipes they would like to share? I feel like breaking the crock pot out....just need some good ideas. Thanks
Texas Sheet Cake, very labor intensive but worth it.
Cake
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 sticks of butter
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 cup water
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
Icing
1 stick of butter
2 tablespoons cocoa
6 tablespoons milk
3/4 box of powdered sugar or use all of it
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
Preheat oven to 350
Sift together flour and sugar; set aside.
In saucepan, mix butter, cocoa and water; bring to a boil.
Pour over flour and sugar mixture; blend.
Add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda, cinnamon and vanilla; blend well.
Bake 20 minutes at 350° in a large jelly roll pan or sheet cake pan. I use a 9x13 and bake about 30-35 minutes. Its a very moist cake, just keep an eye on it.
Frost while hot!
For icing, 5 minutes before cake is done, mix butter, cocoa and milk; bring to a boil.
Remove from heat and add powdered sugar; stir until blended.
If needed, gradually add more milk a few drops at a time as needed for consistency.
Add vanilla.
Beat well and spread on hot cake.
ETA: Correct the cinnamon. Please do not put 1 tsp in the cake, just a pinch..if you wnat to. I make it with and without.

According to him its Zaxby's that bleaches their chicken. I have never heard of this but it does not surprise me. I live in Charlotte, NC so there are Zaxby's around here and I wont be going back. Just wanted to find out if any other restaurant/fast food place does this as well.

Now for the Chicken:
'Fresh, Never Frozen' really and honestly does go a long way. I mean, this Zaxby's chicken is obviously frozen, and its obviously 'particle' chicken - it breaks apart too clean, a sign that its rib meat (with probably some lips and asses thrown in there) and not breast meat. Zaxby's also season's their breading with so much salt and black pepper that you can't even taste the chicken meat. Oh, and like Church's chicken - Zaxby's must bleach their chicken, because it's whiter than the 'pretty fly for a white guy' guy from that Offspring video. Idk if Cane's bleaches theirs or not cuz you can't see it from the meat color, but you can def see it from Zaxby's.

They bleach chicken...thats just not right. I dont care if the meat is white as white can be I dont want any bleach on my damn chicken. Gross.
Do you know of any other places that do this so I wont go there.
Please tell me this is not a common practice.

re: Fried Pickles

Drain a jar of dill chips, pat them dry.
In a bowl, beat 2 egg and 1 cup of buttermilk.
Mix equal parts of flour, cornmeal and add some cajun seasoning and a little bit of salt (cajun already has alot & the pickles are salty too) and some black pepper, mix well. You can use a bowl or a ziploc bag to coat pickles.
Run the pickles thru the egg mixture then coat with flour mixture. Shake off the excess flour before you place pickles in deep fryer. I deep fry mine at a temp of 350 for about 3 minutes, flipping them over during frying. Drain on paper towels.
Serve with Ranch or your favorite dipping sauce.

He is horrible without a doubt. We need to give the rock to Lee who wasn't much better. Hopefully SHepherd can be used early next year.

The ticket prices aren't really the problem. Them not being available is. If you go on the stub hub sites you will get bent over. Then you take the alternative and hope the scalpers have decent seats between Tiger Stadium and the Maravich Center.
