They are 4-0 against Ball State, Pitt, Akron and Florida. Plus, the vaunted Open Date this weekend. Yes, the qb looks legit but then so did the Mississippi State qb and the Leach air raid. I like the defense game plans and think the Vols will get challenged the first time this season in Tiger Stadium.

They’re solid but that fanbase seems to think Orgeron and Pelini are walking through the door.

LSU will be 5-1 come October 8th upon completion of the Tennessee game. Again, that is one of those games LSU just seems to find a way to win at home.

Offense yes

Defense no

It’s going to be strength vs strength and weakness vs weakness next weekend. Should be a good game.

I have no real idea.

Florida could very well suck.

We could also very well suck (but I think we’re getting better and may be actually good)

FSU could suck.

Tennessee might also suck.

Idk. There are 0 teams I’m sure about this year.

Florida does suck. If a team can neutralize Richardson or even contain him their remaining roster is average at best.

They beat a Pitt team that the AP poll way overvalued compared to Vegas on the road barely. Pitt actually did a great job of slowing their offense down and should provide good film for us.

Florida is gonna be an erratic team all year long but AR15 had by far his best game against them, on the road in a very hostile environment. Hopefully Daniels takes advantage as well. Beating Florida at home is not something that should be overly praised. Kentucky played a lot better vs Florida in the Swamp compared to UT at home.

So yeah they're dangerous, but their 2 Power 5 matchups have not particularly impressed me so far

Yes, that offense doesn’t always start fast but once they’re rolling they’re an avalanche. The D is stout vs the run. They held Pitt and Florida to under 4ypc and Florida has one of the better Olines in the SEC. We can beat em but don’t get it twisted, they’re good.

Tennessee’s offense is solid. Their defense is average. It’s fits to our strengths. LSU wins

If LSU shows as much improvement this week against Auburn, as they have each week since FSU, I would bet that LSU beats Tennessee.
But not because Tennessee is overrated.
Instead, because BK and his staff have gotten these players to buy in, get in shape, and fight like Tigers. The drastic change I’ve seen in LSU’s football team has been outstanding, and I wouldn’t put it past LSU to beat anybody. Especially in a few more weeks, if the rate of improvement stays consistent.

Well UT is the only school in the top 10 that has beaten 2 ranked teams. Also Pitt and Florida is better than anyone you have played on your scheduled.

Several things on this:
1. We haven’t played our A-game on offense yet.
2. Our best receiver and defensive back have been hurt.
3. The way this year has gone, I wouldn’t be shocked to lose this game.
4. We stop the run pretty well. Pass - not so much.

The Tennessee offense is going to be a major issue for our defense.

Anyone trying to convince themselves otherwise is a fool

The LSU offense hasn’t developed enough to keep up with them
