Got the Peavey Classic 30. Used. Played on it last night. Fingers hurt today.

Definite learning curve with it compared to a modeling amp. Just plug into those and turn it louder like a radio until you reach the volume you want.

Definite jump back and forth from too quiet to blaring with slight tweak of a knob. Going to watch more videos to dial in a volume that I enjoy and leaves neighbors none the wiser.

Thanks Fret for the advice. Next time I realize I “need” something I will let you know.

I had the classic 30 amp head and I actually loved the clean tones it produced, took pedals pretty well too. I can't remember the speaker I ran it through but it was 1-12". Wish I'd never sold it.
