Has anyone checked her out? I just heard of her recently and have been listening to her debut album.

Per wiki this is the genre clarifications:

Preacher's Daughter is an Americana, pop rock, folk, ethereal, alt-pop, goth-pop, and dark ambient album with influences from slowcore, heartland rock, classic rock, cock rock, folk, sludge, gospel, industrial, noise, horror-electronica and drone...
I've never even heard of some of that.

quote:

It is a concept album "centered around the character Ethel Cain, who runs away from home only to meet a gruesome end at the hands of a cannibalistic psychopath

I really enjoyed the songs individually. Then I listened more closely a second time and it’s genuinely one of the creepier yet interesting albums I’ve listened to.

I listen to some of those "out there" genres you listed, Ethel Cain doesn't really do it for me. However, she has been getting a ton of buzz recently.

Since you brought it up, what's your opinion of the album?
