Any recommendations on what to do and what not to do at that time of year? I know it’s probably cold and damp with not many daylight hours in December.

Personally, I would be sure to take a day trip to Leavenworth Washington. It's a beautiful ride and once you're there you are treated to a German village in the mountains with a spectacular Christmas lights display.

I saw super cheap flights out of Nola a few years back and jumped all over them. When I landed, I realized why. It was cold and rained lightly to moderately with thick cloud cover every day. Easy to see why grunge started up there.

We went to an A Perfect Circle concert and tried to see as much of the city as we could. Nature excursions weren't in the question.

What do you like to do? Plenty to do around here, just be prepared for cold rain and indoor activities. Do you like to ski? Usually skiing is open at Snoqualmie, Stevens, and Crystal. Leavenworth is a cool town on the other side of the pass

Not big into skiing, but I do enjoy hiking and that sort of thing. Just don’t know if that would be ideal in December.

Definitely into any of the city tours though if the outdoor excursions aren’t ideal.

Pike's place was awesome, though we went to Seattle in September last year.

Made a Seattle trip in December 2 years ago. Definitely did not suck, even with the Covid restrictions.

My review thread.
