Anyone know when we'll be allowed to download the world cup addition for fifa? Can't find a definitive answer anywhere.

I was just reading about it, and want clarification on whether these updates are permanent to the game or not? The article below says the update is set to launch Nov 9 and run through Jan 3.
I never had FIFA 18 so I can’t recall.

Really dumb if it’s just limited time. I get the stories part being limited since it’s coinciding with real events happening in the WC but other modes surely will be permanent right? Like the ability to set up a custom tournament with teams that didn’t even qualify?

The way I read that is those 3 games modes are related to FUT.

I can see that a bit now.. so regular content will be permanent I presume, such as ability to play through the WC as it is in play now matches, or create custom world cups with new groups?
Guess I should’ve thought about it more; as in it’s not like they’d add in more national teams (teams in the WC that aren’t in game yet), and then just remove them.

Yeah I really liked 98 on 64. You could player select as many teams you wanted and just pick a few teams and play with your mates.

Except the product is shite.
The rosters are all kinds of fricked up and when I tried playing the World Cup offline, both USA and Wales were wearing white kits and you can't change them.
10 and 14 were great on PS3 when you could do the whole qualifying process with all confederations.
