AA going to use this as an example to not spend on the FA market until the end of time.
Profar tested positive again, likely to be suspended for the whole season

Bases loaded, no out and Milam with a 3-1 count... scored 1 run for the whole inning.
That's hilariously bad plate discipline.

Ronnie is such a hyperbolic dork.
LSU could come back and win this game and it wouldn't even be one a top 10 comeback in LSU baseball history.

Most embarrassing lsu loss since Troy
Won't even by LSU's most embarrassing loss in baseball this season.
Northeastern had an historic season last year.

Remember when AD did a bunch of interviews during the 17-18 season and then requested his trade less than a year later?
I'm cynical as frick, but this reeks of CAA carwashing their client.
For the Pelicans, though, that's a good thing because it means we can finally rebuild if Zion forces his way out.

Our roster would be OK if healthy.
It would be a borderline play-in team if it stayed healthy.
We need to blow up and start over.

Just a weird dork to let Mainieri trigger you this much.

Just like with every season, we truly won't know how good, bad or mediocre our pitching or hitting is until SEC play starts.
From a pitching standpoint, too many times has this board sung the praises of a dude because he shut down some ivy league school, only for him to be relegated to mop up duty by late SEC season/regionals.

Most overrated Coach in baseball. Just my opinion.
How is he overrated when he is viewed as third behind Skip and now Jay?

Also, it’s not weird when you could see it coming a mile away. Those last 4 years were brutal.
Nah, still weird.
Dude was a good coach who mailed it in for 2 years after he won in 09 and when his dad died and came up short in 2017.
That stretch from 2012-2017 was elite (just not up to Skip standards) and what he did to clean up Smoke's mess in quick work to be back in Omaha two years in and win a title three years in was great.
People act like he set the program back. Which he did not. LSU baseball was teetering because of Smoke's shite and Mainieri got it back to the forefront of the sport.
Not saying we have to celebrate the guy, but acting like he is some black mark on in the history of LSU baseball will always be retarded and weird.
Luke definitely did shite, but he always wanted to be a columnist instead of a beat reporter and he treated the LSU beat like that. So he wasn't really reporting much nuts and bolts news and was instead writing whimsical stories about the players.
To his credit, he parlayed that into a columnist job, so power to him.

You are talking about the guy who basically claimed half of the 2023 natty on a podcast because he recruited some of the players lol. The dudes ego doesn’t fit through the door.
This never happened.
Mahtook basically tried to give him credit and he balked at it.
The hate porn this board has for Paul is still weird.
Like I really think some of you like Smoke over him.

I do agree there roster better but 24 games better?
Yes.
Our roster is not good.

Bat control as in it sitting on his shoulder?
Yeah, everyone else is hitting the ball every time.
Shitty offense aside, it's so good that Schmidt has had two stellar outings in a row a couple weeks out of SEC play.
Still remains to be seen how his command is when the pressure ratchets up against better hitters in conference, but at least he should have some confidence going into that.

Skip was the head coach? I don't believe you.

Skip taught work on the fundamentals in the cage
Skip was a pitching coach moron.
He didn't do shite with the hitters in the cage.

Pete Rose and Manny Machado prove nothing haha....because Broski told me so
The best part is that you don't understand how you're proving yourself wrong by bringing that up.

I do not understand why coaches teach hitters to think so much at the plate.
Because you have less than a second to hit a 85-95mph projectile moving in different directions with a cylinder stick that has a small sweet spot.
If you don't think at the plate, you've already lost at the plate.
