Incoming ... countless msm headlines that talk about how unbecoming and divisive it is to use the taxpayer funded house to investigate political opponents. Even if they did commit crimes, it shouldn't be the house that investigates them.

The only merit to your point is the fact, unfortunately, that the American people at large don't GAF about Hunter Biden. Democrats will openly admit he's a sleaze ball and corrupt. Everyone pretty much knows it. There are still a handful of idiots that still think the laptop is a Russian deep-fake operation but the people know. So what purpose does it serve to focus congress on Hunter Biden? Why not focus on investigations on why the FBI is targeting local PTA meetings to classify anti-woke parents as terrorists? Just one example.
