I thought Vandy forced us after we "stole" Dinardo and we wore Gold instead of purple....

I remember when Hodson and Co. used to wear purple all the time at home then when Dinardo came in he got the rule'n changed to the old rule

So before Dinardo, the home team had to get permission from the road team to wear white, but now home team decides...maybe we should mix it up and make Bama wear white just to get in Saban's head

That was in 1996 when the away team still decided. I think the rule changed not long after that, because in 1998 Spurrier forced us to wear yellow in Gainesville.
