Daniels is the ultimate offensive catch 22

On one hand, JD has accounted for most of our offensive production in terms of rushing and individual play making. His wheels have been the source of lots of critical conversions and scores. This would usually be something fans would be pumped about.
However, on the other hand, his lack of confidence in his WR’s and his passing ability, with his over confidence/resorting to his ability to run is one of the primary factors in two of our losses.
We have a really good group of WR’s— better than Bama at that position right now and just below TN. For context, look at what they were able to do with Max freakin Johnson throwing the ball to them. There has been a severe lack of rhythm and consistency with our passing game, and it’s not because our WR’s are not getting separation or 1 on 1 chances.
In sum, it’s fine to appreciate all JD has brought to our offense in terms of individual running ability while also acknowledging how badly he has cost us. I worry that we might see someone like Brian Thomas, Malik, Bech, or Hilton (who will be a very good weapon when healthy) hit the portal if JD comes back. He’s costing them draft positions.

Daniels is a good QB. Not a great one. But he is good enough to win games here. Will never be an air raid guy by any means. But you definitely can win a championship with him.

Mmhmm …
Actually no… with jd on the field it’s feast or famine… as in nobody feasts unless he does first. When he’s shite nobody else has a chance on offense.
Football 101: defense will stack the box (see aTm) when a qb fails to present a credible deep threat. Even the tv commentators said as much as the pointed it out again and again and again.
If Perkins hadn’t bailed out jd against Arkansas then we’d be a 4 loss team.
Our gifted wr class may as well ride the bench.

I agree to a degree. We certainly can win a championship with JD IF he starts trusting his guys and throwing the ball when they're open.
However, if he returns and is the same as this season, we won't win a title and will again struggle offensively. We really don't have an offensive identity this season.
He has made some beautiful throws this year so it's perplexing why he appears to lack confidence in throwing into tight windows.

Personally I would call less of the downfield shots. Play to his strengths run more mesh, stick concepts. Run some bootlegs to get him out the pocket more. There are other ways to be successful with Jayden then just say oh fck it let’s just throw deep balls

denbrock should be rolling him out of the pocket no less than 10 times a game to give him the option of throwing or keeping it.

The deep ball is a strength of his, at least it was Az. St.
For some unknown reason he just refuses to throw many. He holds the ball far too long before deciding to run. Then I watch film breakdown on YouTube and WR's are running open. I have no idea what's going on in JD's head.
Defenses cheat up because they see on film that he rarely throws deep. It's hard to run against teams playing everything short. Teams have even begun sitting on short routes and our offense has really struggled even more.

Because he doesn’t have the timing down with the receivers here. That comes over time. Relax. It isn’t quite there yet, it will. That’s why as the coordinator they need to do a good job of slowing the game down for him. Making him throw the quick easy ones, roll him out on boots. Patience is key with him. Rome isn’t built in a day. We came pretty darn close to building it in a year, but missing the final pieces. Next year I expect s better season than this year’s season

I thought he took the wrs to cali for that.
In fact, I thought he was named starter due to him taking them out there.

And if Jaden Daniels hadn't played a great game against Bama, them again we could be a 4 loss team. We can play this game all day long.

He’s a senior and he’s played the whole season here. Sooner or later you show what you’ve got. Looked great a few times but cannot seem to get over the hesitant hump.
If Walker can’t beat him out next year, LSU will be stuck once again with another question mark in the qb column.
