Carrier Dome in Syracuse
A bucket list concert for me. Anyone seen them live? Am I going to see Flea’s “sock”

Seen them a number of times through the years. Most recently in Denver a few months ago. They killed it. Didn't phone it in at all.

I got tickets for the Houston show in may. I saw them at jazz fest and they were amazing. All of their new songs sounded really great. Flea still moves all over the stage like a mad man. Chad might be his best right now from a technical stand point and John is still making the guitar cry with every note in his solos.

Try to get up close because the sound in the dome sucks.

Saw them in Dallas a few months back. It was a top 10 concert for me. Their energy level is off the charts, especially for their age. John's improvised jams and solos were incredible. And the visuals were very impressive and added to show.
That show was the most I've ever paid for a concert (+$500 for 2 tickets) but it was well worth it IMO. I was on the floor but still pretty far back, but it didn't matter.

Their music is cringe and they’re a bunch of rapists ngl
ETA: Or sexual assaultists or something

Good to read all the positive about them. Saw Keadis interview on Joe Rogan. Seems like all they care about now is touring. He made the point when talking about music streaming etc and the lack of revenue from albums.
His point was they don’t care how people get the music. Just that they get it. They make their money back from shows. When they need to “earn a living” they tour. Paraphrasing what he said. Thought it was a cool attitude.

I loved their show. I saw them in Memphis at the Fed Ex Forum while in college. I was worried they wouldn’t play the classics because they had just come out with the I’m with you album but they played a dream set list to me.

Three times for me.
First time, Mother's Milk tour. Awesome, but cut short.
Second time, BSSM tour. Incredible, with Pearl Jam and Smashing Pumpkins. One for the ages.
Unfortunately by 2000 and the Californication tour, kinda weak.
Foo Fighters opened up and destroyed them...

I won tickets in a radio contest years ago to see them at the Varsity in BR. I gave them away because the show was on a work night.

If they want to keep Frusciante around a while, they should probably scale back their touring. Now they are doing another ambitious world tour. I worry Frusciante is going to get burnt out again and leave and that would probably be the end for real.
