Student tickets

I was checking my facebook earlier and I saw like 5-10 of my friends selling their Bama tickets, not suprisingly every single one of them was in a frat/sorority. Then, walking to class today I overheard multiple students saying they were selling their tickets. My question is why so many students are selling tickets to one of the biggest games in recent memory? There is no way in hell i would give/sell my ticket to this or any other big game in Tiger Stadium.

I'm glad. I'd prefer not having those people in the stadium anyhow.

As long as they don't sell them to Bama fans, who cares. Get someone in the stadium with some passion for the game.

they're selling them but no one is buying. no one with half a brain would buy a $12 tickets for $100+.

Not sure what this has to do with it
I am not surprised that student ticket are being sold. The crack down is ridiculous in the student section. My brother got kicked out for booze and he need to release his case info to my parents for them to find out the official reason for the letter home.
Anyway the problem lies in that Death Valley is Death Valley because of the smell of Bourbon, and too many people are not risking it so the Stadium has not been as loud as it used to be and the ones willing to yell are getting kicked out.

Well it is rather strange that most people I've come across that are selling their tickets are in frat, no?
As far as people crying over not being able to drink in the stadium, shut the frick up.

If they sell them to the Bama fans, the bammers are gonna have a problem. My friend had someone from Georgia buy a ticket and get kicked out of the section because his name wasn't the one on the ticket. Apparently last year there was a rule enacted that says you have to pay like an extra $20 to change the ticket. They don't check them out the gates, but considering things can get ugly for visiting fans, they go check on them later. Probably safest thing for the visiting fans, , we're not exactly the sanest group lol

One question and one comment:
I thought you had to have a student ID to use a student ticket?
The crackdown on drinking is being pushed beyond sensible limits. If a person is highly intoxicated and offensive they should be removed. Otherwise mind your own business, just yell.
I go back to the days when the booze flowed, no one was offended and the noise was unbelievable by 9pm.

i have to sell because i am in a wedding. this will be my first game to miss in tiger stadium since i started as an undergrad 5 years ago. now in my grad school year i have to miss the one of the biggest games ever! the game was originally scheduled for the 15th then they moved the date to the 8th some year ago and the wedding plans had been made. and yes...i was in a sorority but that does not mean that i am not a fan!

No shock, the majority of the Greek section sucks dick. They'd rather go get trashed than watch the team.

here we go again the worlds biggest gdi fig is at it again, LSU=AWESOME.
you just can resist, your hatred is out of control and FYI, I have sat in both and the greeks pay more attention to the game than the normal section, it isnt even close. so stfu ****.

the only people I know that are considering selling their ticket are students really in the need for cash. It's understandable. they still really want to go to the game, but if someone's willing to pay $200 then I don't blame them for selling their ticket given the situation.

You mean they pay more attention to the first half right? I often look over and see many an empty seat in he 3rd and 4th quarter.

If you aren't in the majority, you don't need to get offended. The original poster obviously made the same observation as I did. If you say the majority of the typical section sucks dick, I'm not going to make a homosexual reference to you.
