MSY>DEN 6/30
DEN>BOI 7/4 (need to land by 11am)
SEA>SFO 7/14 (need to land by 4pm)
SFO>MSY 7/17 (any time)

so how do i best book all this?
SWA has the only flight i can take DEN>BOI on 7/4, so i need to book SW398 8:05AM. the other flights i dont care about airline as long as the flights are direct. should I book one way flights or multi-city flights?

I see a Delta flight 5:30 am land at 10:00am for $213 then everything has a lay over it seems

SEA>SFO 7/14 (need to land by 4pm)

See a United 7:23am lands 9:40am
Plenty of Alaskan and a few Delta that fit this time range between $89-169

SFO>MSY 7/17 (any time)
see a Delta but it doesn't arrive until 12:15am for $189

Plenty of United flights 220-270 range with varying times of leave and arrival

Check out pricing on multi-flight city and see what is available. I went to Google and searched by date and what you wanted your arrival times to be.

You've got a complicated order which is fun

No need to rush booking until you've found the flight times you want. Sounds like the denver to boise is already set so I'd go ahead and book that one now. Be warned that none of the airlines have their schedules set for July so fully expect some of these flights to change and get to rebook for free. Unfortunately that may mean a nonstop changes from morning to evening, but we'll cross that road when we get there.

Someone linked itamatrix, that's a good site to see all possible connections. I'd likely go the one-way route over a multi-city given there's 4 flights. For 3 flights or a XXX-YYY (layover for 6 hours)-ZZZ situation I'd go multi-city, but not this.

quote:

MSY>DEN 6/30

$289 for the direct on united, $216 on southwest

quote:

DEN>BOI 7/4 (need to land by 11am)

Southwest for $141

quote:

SEA>SFO 7/14 (need to land by 4pm)

Take your pick of United, Alaska, or Delta for $99 one-way

SFO>MSY 7/17 (any time)

$189 on Delta, I'd book the afternoon flights and hope for a schedule change. It's very likely to happen imo.

So grand total by booking one-ways-
$216 + 141 + 99 +189 = $645

For peak summer travel on holidays and weekends that is honestly a good price all around. The southwest flights would allow checked luggage, the two others after would not so factor that in. You get a carryon for free with Delta or Alaska flying basic economy, you do not with United (just a backpack). If you do see the price drop on southwest, you can rebook at the lower fare and get the credit back. Same thing on the other airlines if you book the main cabin fares which are roughly $30-$50 more

thanks man

I went ahead and booked SW to DEN as well for the 216 direct and I’ll wait on SEA>SFO>MSY as there’s plenty of flights I can take. Appreciate the help all
