No lower than 5,000. Im licking my chops to get in. Liquid is everything in the market right now. Some really good companies are way over sold IMHO.

Its been a while since I had a finance class but I am just wondering what is the P/E and other ratios look like like on the major indexes?

I will start scaling in at 5k.

Better to sit on sidelines with cash? Someone was posting on here we could be looking at a decade of staglation.

If WalMart's guidance is really gloomy tomorrow look out below. You saw what happened with Best Buy today.

9.8% increase in earnings in Q3 and an "optomistic" outlook on holiday sales.
Mayc's is another story though. Looks pretty bad for them right now.

what's hurting the most right now is the hedge funds going out of business. I've had a couple of stocks that are showing strength financially but large stock owners are being forced to sell. The prices are just tumbling.

Yeah, but they guided down for next year.
Wal-mart will make out somewhat ok in this storm. People gots to have groceries and sundries, etc and noone handles their inventory and cost as good as those folks.

This market sure is fun to watch. From down around 300 to up over 200 in about an hour or so.

we could very well be +500 today. This market has been begging to snap back.
