Couldn't be the injury. Had to be he was satisfied with the money.

They had totally convinced themselves that every LIV player was total trash.
Where’s the pga tour mouth piece aka Jay Monahan’s bitch boy Rory this week?

Sound very angry. I don’t think the majority ever questioned any of those players that left for LIV abilities. I think it has more to do with leaving the pga behind.

Which I still don’t understand why anyone would blame them. I love all these people making 50k a year saying their principles would prevent them from leaving for the LIV and getting massive checks.

The LIV guys were not supposed to play well, you know they don't play competively anymore.

And Bryson will be back as well. He has to get back from his injury as well. Bubba has also been hurt.

Cam Smith will work his way back. Been struggling, but getting better.

I don’t think anyone thought these guys were “done”, except maybe Phil and Bubba. Koepka and Bryson both had injuries. Smith is obviously no slouch. DJ can tee it up any given tournament and smoke the field. Lot of great young guys and prior major champions. But ya, obviously a small sample size being year two, but they haven’t exactly done much in a major until now.

I mean, they only had 4 opportunities since the defection and Cam Smith won and immediately defected. So they technically won 25% of last years majors and are now sitting atop the leaderboard for the first 2023 major …

I think what people were most concerned with is not playing serious competitive golf leading into the Masters. So you couldn’t Cam for winning as a LIV player when he was still on the PGA Tour. Brooks has never cared about anything other than majors, so that’s a little bit of a different case.
I was definitely wrong in Brooks because I didn’t realize how much his injury was holding him back last year.

I keep seeing these types of posts everywhere i look. Never been a liv hater but i def don’t like a lot of their golfers and it’s not for jumping to liv. I’m not sure what’s more ridiculous, the people blaming liv players for taking the money, the liv players saying it’s about growing the game, or you thinking this tournament is over somehow and his lead is 3 and shrinking with crazy weather rolling in.

Nobody said Brooks would win.

Seeing him miss the cut makes me happy. I’m neither pro or anti LIV. I think the sport needs all the help it can get and competition is never a bad thing
Really hope a LIV guy wins it just to shut the whiny bitches up

Had Brooks not had the knee injury he probably wouldn't be on the LIV tour in the first place. He did so because he lost the confidence in himself that he could compete on a week-in week-out basis.
It's not being on the LIV tour that gives people doubt about the players it's WHY they're on the LIV tour in the first place.
You don't have to have a PhD in psychology to understand the mindset changes between competing on the PGA and LIV tours and this is coming from someone who has stated since day 1 that I think LIV is good for the product of the sport of golf. For the consumer and for the athlete. It's just going to take some time to work itself out.
