They didn’t share a court together since the earliest weeks of the season. When one was finally healthy, the other ones injury would mysteriously drag on.

Is it possible that they realized the court wasn’t big enough for the both of them?

If it were that bad, the Duke GM would call Coach K to get the Duke players to come to a mutual understanding.

Quite the opposite. If anything it should show them they need each other to be successful here.

I guess I had a bad thread title? Really was just posing this as a question for discussion - didn’t expect downvotes and these types of replies.

We see big time players not gel on teams all the time. Why is everyone so confident this is not the case for BI and Zion?

It’s the shared connection of Duke tbh. The Brotherhood.

They’ve essentially came from the same place and at this point had the same coaches for most of their careers. Save for Luke Walton.

You also would have heard about it by now. We heard about Gobert/Mitchell for a few years before Utah blew it up. It was never a secret that Jimmy Butler didn't get along with Wiggins/KAT.

BI also has said on multiple occasions how hasn't really gotten to work on the 2 man game with Zion. It sounds like he begged Stan to do it and Stan wasn't interested. So I'm not sure there's even good support for the rumors that BI doesn't like "Point Zion".

While true, Point Ingram is a top playmaker in the league, and it’s a safe bet that his teammates trust him more. Also, Trey Herb and CJ all shot 40% from 3 during the stretch run. Brandon produced a ton of those looks.

Not all passes are the same, and Brandon seems to have real chemistry with Trey and Herb. Zion could get 20 points cleaning up their misses. And conditioning is less of an issue when you’re not running point.

But agreed, we haven’t seen the 2 man game.
