7 titles, under 3 coaches, across 3 decades. What other program has maintained that type of success across multiple coaches and decades.
And yes, I know USC has 12 titles but they were a long time ago and they haven’t been relevant in some time. Same with Texas, all their titles were a long time ago. We have seen some teams make a 2-3 year run with multiple titles but haven’t been able to sustain championship succes
LSU is the blue blood. LSU is college baseball

Chris did a wonderful job over the CWS. He’s become a True Tiger!
And yes, order has been restored!

If all you are counting are titles, then yes. LSU stands alone based on recency
But there are a number of teams that have been good over the last several years that just haven't been able to rattle off titles like LSU in the 90s.
South Carolina is pretty dang close
Vandy is pretty dang close
Florida has an argument but they can suck it
I thought UNC was gonna push for it in the mid 2000s
Wake has potential

texas is the only one who has a argument and its not great one considering their last title was 2004 but they are the only blue blood along with LSU to stay relevant.

Skip and LSU put college baseball on the big stage.

LSU just passed Texas up, but they are still relevant. They’ve been to CWS multiple times every decade and as recently as last year. I agree that the 2005 title and runners up in 2009 is starting to age.

Thought it was hilarious when they interviewed Riopelle and he called Florida a blue blood along with LSU. Those guys were in over their heads.
Also, thought it was disrespectful that being 1 of 2 teams to be ranked #1, they had the audacity to put UF as a higher national seed. The experts wanted UF to win this series so bad, they were the heavy favorites entering the CWS amongst the experts.
