I hate to say it but I think you're going to flip, then, because the Saints have way too much money invested in Grant and Smith to put them on the bench, as sad as that is.
Grant was having a solid year before he got hurt though, but man McCray gives them a rush presence off the edge that they've missed for a while now.

thats the thing. Most people think he is just a pass rusher but he can play the run pretty well also.

McCray is so fast and such a special player but since we have so much invested in Grant and Smith.. nothing wrong with 3 deep DE depth!

Move grant's fat arse inside, push Smith to do better, and find more lean, quick DE's like McCray.
How many times does Jamaal Brown need to be victimized by Julius Peppers, John Abraham, etc.. before we figure out that fat sometimes run-stopping DE's don't get it done?

you do realize he takes himself out of a shite ton of plays by speed rushing every down?

Just hire a new DC
someone with some better scheme's and blitz packages...someone who can create better matchups, and I think you will see Grant and Smith return back to pro bowl form

not as well as smith does. mccray play the runs away from him well but the run towards him he usually opens up a hole b/c he is a speed rusher so he tryes to beat people to the outside a majority of the time. he needs to spin back in every once ina while and he will start to develop a lot more success.

these guys are paid for life, Grant and Smith, they accomplished what they wanted, lottery contracts, now they can play subpar football for the rest of their contracts.

McCray just sells out against the pass and launches himself into the backfield on every play. For instance, Rodgers' TD run was made possible because McCray broke the cardinal rule of D-Line play by running past the football. He has no concept of staying home.

McCray is a speed rusher and he only weighs about 239. He cant play every down all year long.

He was a full-time guy in jacksonville and was pretty good..had 10 sacks a few seasons ago.
I think he could be an every-down guy but he's best as a situational pass-rusher.
