Louisiana politics are worse than the most cynical view of our national politics. I do not understand why anyone with marketable skills remains.

I was really hoping for a better option. If it's him, I'm gonna have to vote for him, but I'm not gonna like it. He'll do some good things, but he'll do some bad things, and he won't get Louisiana as far along as it needs to go during his term. I think I would rather Waguespack.

I gar-on-tee there will be a faction of the Louisiana "Republican" Party that will form "Republicans for Wilson" if Jeff and Shawn are in the run-off together. It's what the LAGOP excels at...screwing their own candidates.

I’m watching the waves with Wags, Schroder, Hewit and Nelson…. Landry has not locked down enough yet to show that one of these will not emerge and offer a strong alternative.
When one or two drop out as people start to pay attention, things will get interesting.
I’m still thinking Schroder at this point. His Treaurer creds will play well in NLa and he’s got a strong base around SEast La… JP, STP, Nola, etc.

I like Higgins, well for where he is at. Congress if full of personalities and he fits in perfect there, and is a perfect representative for his constituents. The Louisiana governors office isn't the place for that.
