It might be meaningful that the team adopted the panic so easily though.
We were KILLING the ball for 2 weeks. A couple of underwhelming games later, the fans were needlessly panicking. But, it sure seems like the team felt the pressure of it and has performed accordingly.

He can’t get outs. He gets hit hard. And it happens even when he fools hitters pretty often on his changeup.
It’s just not enough. Eventually the batter more often than not will hit the fastball or sit back on the changeup.
That changeup is a great pitch. But, it's not the kind of pitch you want to throw multiple times in an at bat. I'd be interested to see how often he throws it 2+ and 3+ times in the same at bat.

This character should have been a reinvention of Ted...a semi-incompetent, flustered and stressed out person attempting to do an impossible job. Instead, they made the character powerful and potentially negatively impacted the culture in the hospital. If the HR director was running around attempting to put out fires that Cox and others were lighting, with no real ability to implement today's woke, politically correct HR world, that would have been a better idea, IMO. You'd have the Cox angle, gay jokes (charge nurses and Park) , women jokes, new generation (TikTok Doc, British guy who is soft) jokes, racial jokes, with the humor of a "Ted" having to deal with all of that.
Plus, I agree the actor isn't likable.

To me this is about execution. If there are as many jokes in a "negative" way about them being gay as there are in a "positive" way about the others who are not gay, it will be fine. Modern family did this well. If it's all one direction, and it's just a display of gayness that has no comedic value from the situation, I agree those characters and actors won't add anything.
Overall, I was looking forward to watching it and I'm looking forward to watching the next episodes.
