Yeah, probably so. Probably real similar to what he did on The Ed Sulivan show for that song too. I'm a big fan of his.

The Clark show is on the left (cavalry uniform -- the right is a CLASSIC Ed Sullivan appearance)

He did "Bismarck" on a later Clark show

Fantatsic stuff. Of course that Calvary uniform was grossly incorrect, the song was greatness anyway.
