I think this is by far the most entertaining aspect of the LIV season.

The CW on my YouTube TV is currently showing Maury when I was trying to watch the golf. What a disaster.

I read an article on the format. It's definitely the most interesting aspect of the league. My only gripe is going back to stroke play for the final. I get that match play is tough for TV, but you already have terrible TV engagement. Make the final match play as well.

You can watch for free on LIV Golf app

It’s only on CW on the weekends

If you have a smart tv, or a Firestick/Cube, Roku, or nVidia streaming device you can download the CW App and stream all three days from start to finish.

I do have it, but it just seemed like unnecessary work since I was already watching YouTube TV and trying to find the golf.

Thanks for letting me know for future reference, but I feel like convenience is a decent sized factor for watching golf you only mildly care about. And it definitely wasn’t super convenient yesterday, especially with no PGA Tour Golf on during standard hours.

A large golf betting book, SuperBook, took only one single bet across the entirety of the team finale of LIv so far

Wow

I am ready for the personal attacks and hatred while nobody responds to how amazingly the above is. The Sportsbook said they receive less bets for liv than they do the senior tour and lpga

I think there’s just a lack of knowledge on what to bet.

I mean, today is called the semifinals with 8 teams left which is just weird. I mean, I get it goes to stroke play with 4 teams. But still… very confusing.

I don’t feel like I should be as agnostic on LIV as I am, but I think that’s the way a lot of people feel. They just don’t care enough to watch it unless there’s something uniquely exciting like Adelaide going on.

I saw a lot of people talking about what a success it was, which is absolutely true. But the success wasn’t built on and you can’t only have one entertaining tourney (to the masses) a year.

If liv was any normal venture, with normal financial support, it would already be cancelled. That isn’t really up for debate

The Australian event was a huge success, but LIV has no viability besides it has an unlimited money out willing to back it. It’s the WNBA from a finance perspective

If you install the ESPN App on your smart device, plus subscribe to ESPN+ (good for watching LSU Baseball and Softball), you can watch most all of the PGA events, and much of the Euro PGA Events, from start to finish. Beginning on Thursday mornings. Of course it would help to be retired to really take advantage of all the golf that is available on streaming devices.

Also, do we think Trump is going to go scorched earth on LIV? His entire beef with the PGA was they removed events from his courses. Now, LIV is doing the same thing and pulling all Trump courses next year and severing ties.

And if he does turn and start shite talking LIV, which is likely, does the LIV contingent that followed just for this reason drop off as well?

Don't know. Don't care. That's you schtick.

I just like watching golf. Any tour, LPGA included.

Is that finalized? I thought they had only made prelim schedule

Weird they would announce dumping trump the week they are at Doral

All teams will play a 14-event schedule, with eight tournaments to be held overseas and six in the U.S. (There were eight tournaments in America and six elsewhere in the 2023 season.) New international events will be staged in Hong Kong and South Korea, while the league will return to Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Singapore, Spain and England. At this stage, only Mayakoba (Mexico), Valderrama (Spain) and the Greenbrier (West Virginia) would be repeat venues. (Three courses owned by former President Donald Trump were used in ‘23—Washington in Virginia, Bedminster in New Jersey and Doral in Miami.) "As we look forward into 2024, we’ve got a full schedule now, some places we’ve been to before, but we’ve got some new venues as well, reaching different regions," LIV CEO and commissioner Greg Norman told reporters in the same meeting as Davidson.

Nothing necessarily points it to being a Trump thing. It’s reported that they’re only going back to 3/14 venues that were on the 2023 schedule.

Seems like it’s more of a goal to branch out to new locations.

I do think it was too Trump heavy schedule.

But liked the final event at Doral. That event was a player favorite when on PGA tour, a lot of guys were pissed they dumped it for Mexico
