Saban has struggled against good dual threat QB's in the past...

Johnny Manzel, Cam Newton and even Joe Burrow kept some drives alive against bama. Not to mention JD's legs getting us some crucial first downs last year. I like what JD brings to the table this year with being able to get the ball downfield to our stud wide receivers. We can stretch the field which is a great advantage over Saban's D (lol). I've not felt this good about our chances playing bama since 2019. The defense just needs to not bad...but that's a topic for another post.

Saban's defenses have always had a problem with stretching the field and throwing down the middle of the field....

.....heck, everyone struggles against a great dual-threat QB.
Dang, LSU has a great (duel-threat) QB, an NFL Level OL and team (not my words, the Army coach's words), a stable of explosive RBs, and some receivers capable of 'Jarvis Landry' circus-like catches (at full gallop).Hummmm! A TigerNation Fan might be tempted to blurt out - be still my beating heart.
Now if that LSU defense can rise to the occasion and make that old man (Pete Jenkins) proud? What a way to go out, eh!! I'm thinking that would make his day.
Beat Bama!

Those dual threat ones hurt him, too!
